pooooop factory awards for turd

What a pile of uninspiring trash!
First of all the presenters;
An annoying welsh 'z' lister bimbo in a tacky gold dress and her backstage sidekick; a tame clean cut witless nerd who had even less charisma than any of the band members he interviewed (if that is at all possible)
Then the bands;
I must be getting old - they all looked the bloody same, who were the winners anyway.. The Automatic, The Blackout, The Automatic, The Lost Prophets, The Automatic, The Lost Prophets, The Automatic. What the fuck!? Of course the award was all based on 'Music Industry' success.
Can it be that the 'Welsh Music Industry' can only afford to back one band at a time to make them a success. What the fuck is that all about... what about all the other great bands out there. It's safe to say that the 'Welsh Music Industry' has found a style of music it does well i.e. 'souless americanised emo punk drivel' and is playing it safe by only recognising and rewarding bands of this genre. How totally depressing!
And the Award sponsors - is Wales and the Pop Factory that desporate for cash that it is forced to accept sponsors as controversial as Coca Cola who a lot of people fuckin hate!? Why should Wales and Welsh music be associated with such an unethical global corporation!?
And ha when that boring grey haired businessman in a suit came on to present an award sponsored by some Business Organisation ... I mean what turnip thought that would be a cool idea? Did that guy think he was hip, presenting an award for music he probably hates? I don't get it.
And finally the people in the audience (particularly those othe front tables).What a bunch of straight laced, suited up, overfed, fat cat business men and ageing slappers. Like that tart-tastic blonde gran in a leopard print like a Bette Lynch lookalike, prancing round to that old codger singing that naff hit.
This is not my idea of Cool Cymru!
And the awards with any real importance like 'The Best Welsh Language Act' and 'Best Welsh Festival' were barely given 20 seconds air time - I can only assume it's because these weren't sponsored by an air time hogging mega-company. I didn't even catch what the name of the Best Welsh Festival was which was probably the intention as I'm pretty sure it wasn't the Big Ponty that the Pop Factory organise.
Anyways... rant over. On the plus side I guess it's good that Welsh Music is being celebrated and recognised. It's just a shame that it's presented in such a tasteless and obviously corrupt way!
The only good bit was Lemmy and his raspy speech in the grotty caff - long live Lemmy - I can't see any of those well spoken 'Haircut' bands lasting as long as him. And thank fuck for that!
