Love Inks is a minimalist pop group making music that harkens back to early 80s UK (Marine Girls, Young Marble Giants) and David Lynchís Roadhouse.

"Somewhere between the sparse feel of Young Marble Giants and the whisper of the xx" TLOBF

The groupís sleek, needle-precise sound comes distinctly from Austin, Texas. It is a combination of guitar, played quietly but as if from a 12-foot deep well, and bass, creating both te...nsion and melodic release when necessary, in conjunction with an electronic drum machine. The triangle is only completed by Sherry LeBlancís voice, which leads the listener through every song ó whether it be mellow or dark.

These three elements together make up LOVE INKS. Their use of silence and their approach to instrumentation, while sometimes coming across as confrontational, makes their music direct and sincere.

The band releases their new album EXI on 8th September on Republic of Music. It sees them returning to the minimalist aesthetic and sound fans fell in love with on Love Inks' 2011 debut E.S.P.

HMS Morris
Little over a year ago, Heledd Watkins was on finger picking duties as bass player for the much gentler singer songwriter Emmy the Great. She moved on to take the reigns as front woman of this more guitar driven, home grown three piece. With delicious melodies complemented by swirling psych rhythms, dreamy synths and swelling vocal harmonies. HMS Morris been tipped by Huw Stephens, praised by bloggers from their trips to London. Members Sam and Wil Roberts also of Mwsog and Wilma Sands complete the three piece, each bringing his own distinctive style to bear on HMS Morrisís unique twang.Their recent single 'I Grind My Teeth / I Dream of the Diner '' clearly depicts why they are ones to keep your eyes on... https://soundcloud.com/hmsmorris
