Just wanted to do a little shameless self-promotion for a night I help out with in Cardiff city centre called Bogiez.
Bogiez is Cardiff's biggest and longest running rock and metal club night, taking place on the first and third Saturday of every month at the Millennium Music Hall, Cardiff.
Standard blurb for the night: "For hard rock & metal from way back when to current day, for earth shattering riffage and classic rock anthems, to alternative ass-kickers and everything in between, Bogiez is the only rock club in Cardiff that delivers the finest mixed of the devil's music every first and third Saturday of the month."
The night plays a mix of all sorts from old school to new rock and metal, heavy and the not-so-heavy. It used to be hosted at The Point in Cardiff bay but moved to its new, bigger home in October of last year.

Last year saw our biggest turn out for Halloween yet, with over 800 people attending during the course of the night - This year, we're kicking the whole party up one hell of a notch.
For the first time in Bogiez history we'll be joining forces with another night to bring you a Halloween party like NO OTHER.

6 whole hours of Bogiez Mayhem + Classic Rock and Metal Madness + 2 separate floors = Sounds freakin' good to us!
But wait, there is more! As announced previously, long time friend of Bogiez and fast upcoming rock maestro Jayce Lewis asked us if he could host his world album launch party at Bogiez on Halloween. Suffice to say, we accepted!
Many will have seen the BBC 1 documentary that followed Jayce earlier this year. The BBC have confirmed they will be filming part of the continuation of the documentary (to be broadcast on BBC 1 next year) at Bogiez this Halloween! Excerpts of the show will also be being used in Jayce' new music video AND broadcast all across the globe LIVE on the night!
Jayce will be performing a 35 minute set (Upstairs) which will feature a handful of tracks from his self-titled début. Bogiez DJ's will be on prior to this and immediately after, carrying on the mayhem til 4am!
As we had some rather annoying issues last year with queues getting in and queues at the bar, we've taken huge steps to ensure this doesn't happen again this year. With 2 rooms, multiple bars and more staff readied to get you all in and serve you as quickly as possible!
We've also made available a chunk of advance tickets (available here: WeGotTickets - Your Online Box Office - BOGIEZ HALLOWEEN BASH 2010 ) for the big night, sort of a queue jump for people who'd rather get in quicker. These tickets are totally optional, entry will be available on the door (subject to availability). Entry will be £4.50 this year, tickets are priced the same however the ticket vendor we're using will charge a booking fee so bear this in mind when ordering.
Our fiendishly good drinks prices remain in force (and be on display on the night!), including Carlsberg for just £1.80, Strongbow at £2 and Tuborg at £2.20 a pint. Spirits of course also have to play a part in Halloween, so as always we've got amazing prices there too, including double Vodka and energy drink for £2.50 and Jagerbombs for the same price. We'll ALSO be awakening the mighty Bogiez cocktail range for this one, breaking out some wondrously devilish themed cocktails!
Fancy dress is (of course) optional, but you'd have to be screaming-banshee-crazy to not indulge...We see some of the most amazing costumes every year (and of course, as always, reward those who make the effort!) at our Halloween bash, this year as we have the BBC filming, our own film and photography dudes and dudettes filming and snapping no doubt HUGE amounts of photos what better way to show the world how hard we all rock in this neck of the woods dressed head to town in some absurdly awesome garb!
