    David 'ten bag' Cameron

Truthfully i think Cameron got it spot on regarding what he said, the fact he smoked a bit of reefer (although i bet theres more 'drug' stories being saved for election time!) in school (although the most exclusive school in britain!) has no impact on his ability as a politician. His record is quite consistent with this also with regards the drugs debate...

    Anyone care to add??

Its not that he smoked a bit of weed, its the fact he got caught with it. I wouldnt exclude other politicians from the having smoked weed category either. Just because they were not caught, dosent mean they aint puffed weed.

Nah, i still think the conservatives have so much to do, and they havent made the fact that the government is in paralysis count by actually coming up with policies...

The problem Cameron has is that despite Britain on the whole VOTING for mainly right leaning governments during the last 100 years, the british people are still left wing/liberal in their outlook.

Lol, I liked the way he handled it but he's still a politician. So fuck him.

Without politics we'd still be killing each other for our bitches and wilderbeast. Don't you realise your opinions themselves are political... Making you a
'politician' (in some sense of the word). So shouldn't you be saying... "Fuck myself!"?

Your probably right. I have a fear of conservatives though. I come out in a rash when they are nearby.

Thats the inherent problem why young people are increasingly switched off by politics, the political class talk to themselves, and never in a language that relates to young people. Yet young people are too quick to utter the words 'politics has nothing to do with me', people need to engage in democracy if they want to improve it.

I have met a fair number of politicians (from cabinet members to the first minister of Wales) now in formal and informal settings and overwhemingly all of them come into politics with a great desire to make positive change in society, although this is not always the end product. Much of the media's fault is that they paint ALL politicians as lying scumbags, without considering their own role in the making politics 'dirty'.

I can assure you if you have a grievance and contact your local MP you will get a reply which will at the very least adknowledge that your view has been noted and considered. Too many people assume that politicians dont actually do anything, but working close at hand with them i came to realise they work tremendously hard. Anyone living in the Rhondda must be aware of the excellent work Leighton Andrews AM has done to get the burberry campaign off the ground, and has worked tirelessly to try and make a difference for the people he serves...

Politics has a lot to do with me but, ultimately, the system in place is corrupt as fuck and I don't have time for praising politicians. They're there to be criticized. End of. Yeah, obviously, we'd be (apparently) running around naked and doing dirty things (which we do anyways... well me at least) if it wasn't for the blessed politicians who've again and again fucked over the public.

I don't think I'm switched off by politics at all. I suprise myself once in a while. I'm always thinking about what sack of shit they'll be feeding people next and how they again and again bend to big business instead of the people they're supposed to be administering. Fuck them.

I have dealt with local politicians through work, and I have to say I've found none of them disagreeable.

I think Labour has f**ked it personally. Gutting there's no real alternative, otherwise they'd be up shit creek. The drafting of legislation post- Labour re-election has reached an all time low. I work closely with Health & Safety legislation, and the Licensed Trade in helping them translate legislation and its fucking hardcore!

Can you suggest an alternative to our current political system?

    Anarchy!!
What's anarchy? And no, I'm really not an anarchist. I believe in a lot of the causes like anti-globalisation demos, animal rights and not bowing to shit head politicians but it can only work on a small scale, but hey...

Alternative? Democracy? Nay, I'm not sure, but to be honest if there was any justice, half of the fuckers in power would be exterminated. But honestly I think holding a lot more public opinion polls and referendum would help. Then maybe we could control what happens to things.

Why? Personally, I have just as little faith in the the general public as I do in politicians. (and thats all I wanted to say really...)

Exactly. People are no longer accountable for their actions. Why is Public Disorder at an all time high? no accountability. In Ye Olde Days, you get one smack off the local bobby who caught you and another off your 'rents when you got home! no you'd get a dose of placebos for your ADHD.

    We've gone fucking soft people.
