SHUBEEN
feat. Dionne Morgan/Alex Morgan/Leighton Jones.
Infectious Drum and Bass rhythms and glorious voices - unmissable. Dionne Morgan provided the passionate vocals for the 2002 drum’n’bass club, disco, and rave hit "Music Is Everything" by DJ and producer Lincoln Barret when he worked under the name of High Contrast. Shubeen is her ongoing writing and performing collaboration with Keyboardist Alex Morgan. They’ll be joined by superb singer/instrumentalist Leighton Jones. "Shubeen" is an Arabic expression for a high-spirited gathering, and Dionne describes her music as uplifting, soulful Drum and Bass.
‘Inspiring vocals’ Eugene Chadbourne, All Music Guide
BOMB CULTURE
Dancey, rocky, anarchic, psychedelic fun with Berty & co.
TOM DEVOE
Young, compelling and inventive psychological illusionist. Whatever you do, don’t look into his eyes …
TANYA WALKER BAND
Sass, soul and spine tingling songcraft. Winner of PRS/FOPPUnsigned Award 2004 and purveyor of stunning songs, mesmerising vocals and startling piano-driven arrangements, Tanya has worked with song writers in Beijing - representing the UK on behalf of the PRS Foundation for new music.
RAILROAD BILL & PATUA DANCE
Skiffle meets Brazilian Dance in a collaboration only Meltdown could conjure up! Glasto 2005 Bandstand stars - Railroad Bill have a manic take on the ancient art of skiffle using Tea Chest Bass, Washboard, Mandolin, Ukulele, Guitar, Kazoo, Musical Saw, Squeaky Shark, a Roll of Sellotape and the sheer power of their own lungs and legs. In true Meltdown ‘melting down the barriers’ tradition, they’ll be collaborating with Brazilian dance inspired Patua Dance – led by Brazilian native Fernanda Amarel. Patuá Dance has performed at WOMAD in England, Spain, Canaries, Prague; at Glastonbury, Edinburgh and La Marato – Barcelona - Festivals, and many carnivals around the world.

“thumping dhol 'n' bass” BBCi
FRED SNOW
Witty and wonderful singer drawing mainly on jazz/swing from the 1930's era with an occasional drinking blues and crooning ballad too. Influences range from Al Bowlly, heavy drinking, Billie Holiday, the odd stormy love affair, Marlene Dietrich, The Ink Spots, jamming with other musicians and importantly, the chaotic nonsense of the Bonzo Dog Band.
Fred Snow was a big success recently at the BuskerBus Festival in Poland, great songs, and plenty of charisma. M. Snyder from 'z kozmozu'
SILD
Martin Leamon and Sille Ilves formed their unique Welsh – Estonian collaboration shortly after the 2001 Viljandi Folkmusic Festival. SILLE ILVES is one of the best fiddle players in Estonia. She studied traditional music at the Viljandi Culture Academy in Estonia. She plays fiddle, hiiu kannel (Estonian bowed harp) and sings. She has played with fiddler/crwth player Cass Meurig, leading Welsh traditional musician Ceri Rhys Mathews and the KilBride brothers.
MARTIN LEAMON is a skilled multi instrumentalist, with SILD he plays guitar and bouzouki .
He performed for five years with Welsh band Boys From The Hill, and has also accompanied leading Welsh singer Julie Murphy.
‘lovely, lovely music’ - Verity Sharp, BBC Radio 3 Late Junction
‘exquisitely fragile and atmospheric’ - Julie Murphy
‘mesmerising...subtle and dark...an object of distinctive minimalist beauty’ - James McLaren, SOUNDNATION
‘an impressive debut album’ – Taplas
NEUTRINO DANCE
Creative dance mayhem with an infectious sense of fun
SPIRAL BROTHERS
Glasto DJs Bruno and Max recreate Avalon vibe with global grooves and (with help of Club Love’s Annette) the gorgeous décor for the Global Grooves Lounge.
DOOFER
Glorious acoustic trio include Mark (ex-Pod) and Chris Ridgeway (ex-Howling Sleepers) who have been playing Meltdowns since the late 1980s. Compelling presence and songwriting excellence deserving of far wider exposure.
