i dont know much about amps so i just picked line 6 cause loadsssssssss of people got em

I don't like line 6 amps. I haven't heard all of those amps but I'm gonna go with Marshall cos I like the sound on them.

ive got a Peavey 5150 mark 2 head, only ok for straight distortion sound but powerful and loud as fuck through an effects pedal, 120 watt valve head, so slightly more powerful than your average 100 watt typical marshall.(unless im behind on the times and they r above that now!)

5150 or the 6505 mark 1, the mark 2 isn't as good for distortion

Yeah man thier very weak amps like! I should have put the mode four up on there also! Thats an awesome amp!

TSL. It's all about the clean sound!

DSLs are way better sounding thatn TSL's...but i voted TSL... marshall mode 4's are bollocks... 5150s are pretty good if your all about the gain and chugg tho

5150's have no gain unless ya drive them with something, and in my oppinion thats no good! Mesa tsl and mode 4 man, had a tsl and hated it, to maiden for me!

yeah mark 2 is pretty crap for distortion, but when i nailed the effects pedals thro the clean channel, the distortion was driven and beefy as fuck. Need a good effects pedal for defo.

The most brutal distortion is Randall cyclone or warhead.
Todays Rectos sound like garage inc. pluss u cant hear em live.
5150, akercoke use em live and they were heavy as fuck.
I have a tsl and it isnt brutal. (even with emg's)
At the end of the day there is no best anything jsut preference.

Where is it man? I know where asda's is in blackwood if that helps at all, but thats about it, ah i know where the town centre is also!

it's near pontinllanfriath leisure centre i think - bottom end of blackwood, towards newport. i'm going to google it and see if i can find it. we've been told to get there for 11
